Chief Jarrett

Chief - Matthew Jarrett
I started my emergency service career at the age of 14, when I joined the Scottsville Fire Department Explorer post. At age 16 I became certified as a NYS Certified First Responder and soon after became certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.

I have been promoted through the ranks of our department, and currently serve as Chief. As Chief of the Rescue Squad, I oversee the operations, administrative, financial and training functions. Aside from serving as the Chief of the Rescue Squad, I serve as an Emergency Manager for the Village of Scottsville and Town of Wheatland. I am committed to ensuring our community receives the very best emergency medical care possible, through excellence.

Captain- Ed Wihlen
I started my emergency services career in 1986 when I joined the Bushnell's Basin Fire Department Explorers. I became an active member of the Bushnell's Basin FD in 1990 and a year later joined the Monroe County Hazardous Materials Team. That same year I was also attending Monroe Community College to study Fire Protection Technologies. Shortly after getting married in 1993 and moving, I joined West Brighton FD where I served as Lieutenant. In 2001 I decided to take a leave of absence from emergency services while my children were young. In 2007 I decided it was time to get back to what I love and joined the Scottsville Rescue Squad, soon after I became certified as a Emergency Medical Technician. I am proud to serve the residents of our community and strive to provide the best care possible.

Lieutenant Coates

Lieutenant - Josh Coates
I started my emergency services career at the age of fourteen, by joining the Scottsville Fire and EMS Explorer post. At age eighteen I continued on as a firefighter for the Scottsville Fire Department and at Watkins Glen International Raceway. I began my emergency medical career a few years later, serving as a Driver for the Scottsville Rescue Squad.

After finishing college, I became certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and serve as the position of "Medic" with both the Scottsville Rescue Squad and the Watkins Glen International Rescue Team.

I serve as an Emergency Medical Technician full time with a commercial EMS agency, as well as serving our community in the capacity of Driver, Medic, and Lieutenant with the Scottsville Rescue Squad. I look forward to growing personally and professionally, and strive for excellence as a leader of our department.

Lieutenant - Matt Davis
My interest in emergency services started at a very young age when both of my parents were medics with a local volunteer ambulance agency. My experience with emergency medicine began at the age of nineteen with the US Army, serving as a Field Medic. Upon leaving the US military, my wife and I settled in Scottsville, as we both felt this was the perfect community to raise our family.

Once settled in the area, I joined the Rescue Squad. Since taking my EMT class and completing required field training, I have become certified as a Medic and Driver. I take great pride in serving our community and hope to be able to continue serving our community for many years to come.
